An error was discovered in the package of information included with the ballot form sent to all residents in Somerset by the ‘Stronger Somerset‘ campaign, run by the four District Councils. The error directed people to an incorrect ‘spoof’ website instead of the correct website for the ‘One Somerset‘ campaign run by Somerset County Council.
The District Councils have written to both the Rt. Hon. Robert Jenrick MP (the Minister responsible for Housing, Communities and Local Government’), and David Fothergill – the Somerset County Council Leader. Both letters apologise for the error and detail the corrective actions they have taken since it was brought to their attention.
