As a result of concerns raised at the Parish Council meeting on 14th February contact has been made with Somerset Highways to request for an inspection to be made. The responsible officer has reported back as follows:-
‘We will be addressing the road surface condition once the wall repair has been resolved, we continue to monitor and carry out small repairs until that time. I will take a look and see if any sweeping needs to be carried out in the meantime.’
Unfortunately, the road surface is seen as integral with the plan to repair the walls, which is, still awaiting the outcome of the legal process timeline which has been reported previously.
