The Parish Council had to submit its Precept requirements in January 2025 for the next financial year starting in April 2025. At the time of writing Somerset Council have not yet agreed their budget and there is real uncertainty as to what services they will ‘devolve’ to Town and Parish Councils.
In that context, and looking at our expected spending which includes significant repairs to the Village Hall roof and also some repairs to the Social Club we have increased the precept to ensure we can fund our commitments this year.

To put this in context most properties in our Village will pay £1.50 or less per week as precept which still compares well with other similar size settlements.
