The Parish Council has funded the new ‘Knee Rails’ and gates at the Recreation Ground Car Park replacing the old and damaged protective posts as part of the Village Improvement plans formulated a number of months ago. The Newhouse Farm Partnership completed the installation recently and the project was led by two former councillors Paula Bachelor and Graeme Kerry.
Since these images were taken the tarmac has been backfilled to make maintenance easier. A metal fencing solution was considered but the knee rails are more in keeping with our village environment. Thanks to David Seares for providing the pictures.
