An initiative from the Environment Group at SSDC led by Councillor Sarah Dyke is aimed at ‘rewilding’ areas of land to improve the natural habitat. The latest initiative is the provision of ‘Free Seed Packs’ – the information below is quoted from the December edition of the ‘Get Sussed’ initiative run by District Councillor Dyke
‘Parishes across South Somerset can benefit from free wildflower seeds as part of SSDC’s Parish Wildflower Seed Giveaway. We are asking as many parishes and landowners as possible to get involved and identify sites that would best suit an area for wildflowers in your community. Where could your community go wild?’
