Due to an incident where a child was injured recently the cause was identified as the gates being open but not chained in the correct position. It was always intended that the gates were kept closed unless it was necessary for a vehicle to get closer to the Sports and Social Club. Signage has now been placed on the gates to clarify that expectation – as can be seen on the picture below:-
Would all users who require to open the gates for any reason please ensure they remember to close them as soon as practically possible after use. The only alternative would be to lock the gates in the closed position which may inconvenience a number of people.
