The Parish Council received the update on this topic at our meeting – the update comes directly from the Officer responsible and is reproduced below:-
West side
13th March 2023:
In addition to the previous updates, the SCC legal dept issued the Highways Act 1980 – Section 167 on 6th March 2023, the notice has been served on the current land registry owners that are known, with advice/information to be sent to the other adjacent land owners. The S167 notice has provided the known land owners 4 weeks to provide the requested information and enter into discussions about the remedial works required. As part of the S167 notice, if the timescales are not met then SCC may intervene, I expect there to be more information available for your next meeting of 14th April 2023.
East Side
13th March 2023:
In addition to points mentioned previously, I am still waiting further information from SCC legal on the matter regarding ownership, the site meeting in mid January also included for a quote for repairs to this side of the wall. I have received some further information from the residents adjacent that wall which was shared with the SCC legal dept. SCC expects to program repairs to this small section of wall (this east side) in April 2023.
